Shown left are sample screenshots from the Event Setup module, showing a typical
split setup for an Ironman event. As with any feature in RaceTec, there is no
limit to the number of splits an event can have, and performance is not affected
by large setups.
The various options in the setup allow for any configuration of timing points,
and the setup can be changed at any time during the race. |

The Enquiries screen is used to view competitor details (including all their
splits details) as well as to make various changes to their details.
This screen is where you will spend most of your time in RaceTec, monitoring
data for anomalies, and fixing them as required. |

This screen is for capturing new entries and editting details of existing ones.
There are a vast number of fields that can (optionally) be used, and there are a
number of 'layouts' you can choose from according to how you prefer to capture
your data.
A lot of effort has been put into making the capture process as quick and easy
as possible for those times when you are doing a lot of late entries and need to
get data in fast. The entire process can be done without using a mouse, and the
dropdown lists all have advanced predictive text typing. |

RaceTec can receive chip time data from just about any source, either by
connecting directly to the hardware, or by importing the data from a file.
Whichever way you do it, it's fast. A file with 100,000 chip times in it can be
imported in a few seconds.
If you are connecting directly to your timing hardware, then the chip times are
inserted live into the database where they are processed immediately and
seamlessly. |

Leverage the most advanced commentator display in use anywhere to impress
entrants and organisers. Select the columns you want to display, adjust font
sizes and colours. In triathlons it can display the swim and bike times when
running off the finish line. You can display interesting facts on screen if you
have them. For multi-lap events, display the current leader, time behind,
fastest laps times, category positions, etc. Or have a display customised
specifically for your race. Click here for more detail. |

Participants and the public are able to use a screen for checking progress and
results during and after the race. All you need to provide is a computer with a
nice big screen, and a keyboard. Anyone can walk up, punch in a race number, and
see the results. The screen scrolls so that people can compare results too, and
it is fully configurable allowing you to specify what fields to display, what
colours to use, and what size font to use. You can provide a printer for
printing of results, and the printout produced is fully configurable so you can
even print a sponsor logo on it. Full results are available as soon as an
entrant crosses the finish line (or any other split for that matter).
Race timers love this screen, because any anomalies are picked up by
participants and they tend to notify you immediately. By the time you leave the
race site all queries have been handled. |

The category leaderboard shows the current category standings at any time during
the race, and the split leaderboard shows (a) who is in the lead and where they
are, and (b) the standings at each split.
The leaderboard screens have a number of uses:
At high profile races, members of the media and race organisers use it for live
updates of the race status. If you have a lot of splits, the race unfolds in
front of their eyes, showing who is leading (by category) or who is at which
split. A quick printout of the data can be made. Fo example, during an Ironman
event, media reporters will want to know who is currently in the lead, or who
the top 10 swimmers were, for example. This screen provides that data, and a
quick hardcopy printout keeps them happy.
It has also been successfully used to keep competitors and supporters informed by
projecting the leaderboards to a large display screen. The data can be
configured to gradually roll through each category and/or split, and the screen
is fully adjustable for font size and colours, providing up-to-date results for
everyone to see.
A third leaderboard system enables the race organiser to capture lead competitor
information that has been radioed or phoned back to the race office. This
information can then be made available in a number of ways.
